Three quotes from Mozart

by Eileen

Mozart once said - "I pay no attention whatever to anybody's praise or blame. I simply follow my own feelings." I found this reassuring that one so great would not look outside himself for praise but rather know when he was doing well himself. It made me feel that I wanted to be more independent in my own life.

‘We can do no great things; only small things with great love.’

Humbling I thought that one (the) of the best composers of all time thought (or did he) that he did not great things. His legacy is great as is the entertainment and inspiration he has given me and so many others. Thanks Amadeus!

‘When I am traveling in a carriage, or walking after a good meal, or during the night when I cannot sleep; it is on such occasions that ideas flow best and most abundantly.’

I took from this that good ideas can come at any time, any place and does not matter what I am doing they can come.

Yes, Martin, I do think Mozart is great!
