Respect Yourself And Others To Get The Most From Life
Respect is like honesty and loyalty - basic requirements of living a decent, satisfying and productive life. At times we may not show respect to ourselves or others. We may question ourselves and ponder and wonder. We think and are thoughtful about our lot in life. What we are doing. What we are involved in. What direction our life is going in. The power of words . . . As we read we can let the words gently flow over us. We can let the words quietly be spoken to us in there own sweet way. We can let ourselves open to the thoughts and their meanings, the ideas and their origin, the phrases and the understandings that they have ready for us. Ready for us to assimilate and take on board. If we let them filter through and allow the words their power to move and rejuvenate. If we let ourselves be uplifted and filled with their sometimes hidden insights. Too gently and slowly to impact on our lives as we read - and in the future when we recall their meaning for us. I hope this page will do this and more. I hope this example will help to express life in an insightful, penetrating but easy to read manner. And help us to question the lives we lead and the manner in which we live them. We should show each other loyalty, honesty and respect for without due regard for life what do we get but an empty container without its previous contents which leave us feeling cheated and makes no sense. For we have much with we can feel life's fill that can give us a sense of completeness and such a thrill at all the possibilities and opportunities that lay at our feet if we could only take advantage of them all (like a trained athlete). We need to recognize and to admire what we see as the best of humanity and try to acquire or earn for ourselves through dint of hard effort our rightful place in life if we could only remain alert To the situations and circumstances we find ourselves in if we can appreciate life, our friends, indeed everything that amounts to the life that we lead and we sustain by our efforts each day, with the wisdom granted us to explain What the whole world is all about, and including our small part with which we can contribute and give if we only start to respect others as we would like ourselves to be seen we can then reach boldly up to the sky and be keen To extol the virtues and values of the things we do for without these principles and scruples we would be in a stew, and also to explain our actions and our deeds, admiration and esteem of others helps with life's greater needs To share and contribute as well as to receive if we do this we can really start to believe that life has much to offer us and the recognition that if we do our best we will find our life's passion Not away from us in some foreign land but rather at home with us does it really stand within and around us in its good stead in our heart and our soul and not in our head. Will we find peace and solace and much to give thanks for the breath that gives us life, for this very much outranks our possessions and other things that we seem to hold dear our life's blood is the thing to really give us good cheer And the chance to be thoughtful and to honor this life and our experience and much left to capture and play with and appreciate and to know the real joy of being alive on Earth and the grace life does bestoy On each of us in our turn and in its own way life respects us and hopes we feel that is okay and that we hold our life in the highest regard and realize each moment is so precious and never discard Nor waste any time that we have today and take the trouble to know and to convey to others in our way and to be fair and select everyone we come into contact to share our respect. All best, Martin
