Our Qualities Make Us The Individual We Are

Human qualities. What are they? Do they help us? Are they skills or attributes?

Are they a part of our personality? Our makeup? Do they determine what we are or what we do, or do we determine them by our actions, our thoughts, our persona?

On these pages you will find little snapshots of human qualities, some might call them traits. I hope you will be able to relate to some of the ideas and thoughts. Perhaps in reading them we will be able to recognize ourselves.

Our personality. What we represent, how we come across, what we stand for, how we act, what we say, what we do, how we do it. There will be examples of all of these things here.

My intention is to make it very easy reading.

  • one minute thoughts
  • expanded one liners
  • stray thoughts
  • thought provoking
  • questioning
  • inspirational
  • motivational
  • natural

(but also to include the unusual, the unlikely, the bizarre, the off-beat . . . )

They are just meant to be different slants on things. Different ways of looking at ourselves.

I will be splitting the examples into three main areas.

For me this separation is fairly arbitrary. Just a way of looking at a large amount of material in a more organized way. So please don't take too literally where I place any particular quality - particularly if you feel you have it!

The idea here is perhaps to look at ourselves a bit more closely. To reflect and assess. To give ourselves a little bit of time. Not to lose ourselves in the detail.

With nearly all of these 'traits' there is a positive, balanced or neutral, or what we might say negative slant or view. So if you feel you have what I have , for example, loosely categorized as a negative or indefinite quality - you may well have this as a balanced or positive aspect in your own makeup.

Please feel free to dip in and see what you think. See what you feel. See how you are moved.

May we all come out the other side as better human beings. Let us revel in our own uniqueness.

All best,
Martin
