Self improvement quotes - from my notebooks

In life be of service. Serve life and you will be served. And you will serve others and the greater good.

Give your life a spring clean.

Dispose of waste, unused things in our life. Don't accept clutter. Don't keep the unnecessary. Find out what is important to you. Maintain and support that.

Learn from the past, enjoy the present, plan now for the future.

Things can sometimes stare us in the face and still we need help, need assistance and direction in our life. Don't be afraid to ask or receive.

Have you asked the right questions?

Don't bottle things up, but with dignity, respect, find an outlook and appreciate and learn from the moments of expression you are granted.

Who do you fool by making excuses - yourself? Perhaps your friend, work colleague, partner - but not yourself. And if you say 'Oh no!' then you have caught yourself out now!

Sleep well. You don't see things so well when you are tired. Don't extend one day to the detriment of the next. A new day brings a fresh outlook. Cherish it and put it to good use.

Cause and effect. Be aware. Everything we do has some affect, either on us or on others or other things around us. Action and reaction. Push and pull. Don't bend and break.

With age comes experience, wisdom, and the strength and knowledge to see things through. Maturity brings mellowness and the capacity to stay cool under pressure.

Life can lead you a merry dance. Not all things fall into your lap. Often what occurs will be better for you than that which you craved. Let life use its habit of surprise and revelation and don't lose that sense of wonder. It is that sense of wonder that gives us the extra energy and motivation to get stuck into life and enjoy it.

Learn to respect yourself. If you don't respect who will? If you don't respect yourself -why do you not? What is it about yourself that you don't respect? Don't like? Why should you not respect yourself? Give yourself a break. Learn to respect yourself.
